Designing of Glazed and Louvered windows
In this post we will give information about Glazed window and Louvered windows . We teach you about Glazed window and Louvered windows Windows are opening provided in the walls above the door level for the purpose of light and fresh air. No communication through the windows is allowed , the windows are fixed in the walls in a similar manner as that of door and such a way that top of the doors and the top of the windows remain in same level.
What is Glazed window and Louvered windows?
Glazed windows ;-
Glazed windows resemble glazed doors. Glazed window consists of style rails transom million sash bar , glass is fixed into sash bar . Nails and putty is used for securing glass . this type of window is mainly made of steel . it can also be built from wood . outer and inner sides of this window is usually latticed in order to refrain mosquitoes and flies away from rooms.
Louvered windows :-
In this type of window the styles of shutter are grooved to receive the louvers . the louvers are generally fixed but sometimes the louvers can very raised and lowered by means of some opining devices . for economical construction the angle of inclination of louvers to vertical styles should be 45 degree . the louvers slope downward to the out side in order to runoff the rain water . sometimes venetian shutters are provided in which louvers are pivoted to the frame at both ends are very louver in connected by a small hinge to a vertical batten . when batten in pulled up or down , the gap between the louvers are opened or closed this type of window provides ventilation and light even when the opening is closed .
