Percentage of Steel in Reinforced Cement Concrete (R.C.C) Works.

Different quantity of steel is used in different elements of Reinforced Cement Concrete (R.C.C). Generally following is the quantity of steel used for different elements.

• Footing : 0.5 % to 0.8 %
• Column : 1.0 % to 4.0 % 
• Slab : 0.7 % to 1.0 % 
• Beam : 1.0 % to 2.0 %
