Bond Stress Between Concrete And Steel And Average of Bond

Bond Stress Between Concrete And Steel And Its Average.

Concrete strength Today i am writing about Bond Stress Between Concrete And Steel And Average of Bond as you know that last time i published a post about the Design Of pre-stressed concrete. Some of my website viewers comment about to make a guide about Bond Stress and Average of Bond Stress. So i make a simple and easy post about in which i explain you all about Bond Stress Between Concrete And Steel
Bond Stress Between Concrete And Steel
Two different materials are unified in an R.C.C.,. These two materials are concrete and steel. The force between these to materials is called Bond. This bond is formed by the binding cement force. However some different factors affect on the strength of this bond. These include quantity of cement in concrete roughness of the surface of steel, and concrete cover along the steel . If this bond fails between concrete and steel then it ends the usefulness of R.C.C. These bond force of with standing per unit area of steel bars is called Bond Stress.

This is shown by the following Formula:

                                Bond stress =     Load In the bar
                                                         Contact area of the bar

AVERAGE BOND STRESS.

The stress obtained by dividing the total shear force on a bar of a beam by the total contact area in an R.C.C beam is called the Average Bond Stress.
             It is as :
                                            fb   =      Q
                                                         la. O
Where:
        Q   =  Shear force
        la  =  lever arm
         O = Circumference of the bars.
